THEME: Documentaries that pertaining on social and environmental issues to create positive change in society, and raise awareness of the issues.
PRODUCTION STAGE: Projects in post-production that already has rough cut. Works that have been screened publicly will not be accepted.Projects can be documentary shorts, documentary features, documentary series and immersive documentaries.
AGE & NATIONALITY: Applicant must be at least 18 years old; preference given to documentary filmmakers of Chinese descent
English is the main language used at the Forum. Chinese-English simultaneous translation will be provided during all pitching sessions; strong command of English is preferred.
Either director and/or producer can represent the project at the Forum(maximum 2 reps)Each project will have 15 minutes to pitch, including 7 min for introducing, and 8 min for Q&A.
All selected films are required to include IFG and CCDF logos in end credits.
Awards: "The Best Impact Potential Prize" is a cash prize which is taxable by law. Recipient must agree to jointly produce a short film based on the winning proposal with the organizer for use in subsequent impact related charity activities to raise awareness of the issues.
In the event of any matters not covered in this submission guideline, the organizer is entitled to alter, modify or change any terms and conditions.

Call for Entries: Open From April to May 15, 2024 (Submission closed)
Finalist Announcement: Mid-June, 2024
Training Workshop: July to September, 2024
Pitching Forum: September 27 to 29, 2024
Applicant must be in a key creative role, i.e. producer or director; selected applicants are required to attend the entire program including Training Workshop and Pitching Forum. If unable to attend, the project will be disqualified.
